Variety of mortar mixers

- Mortar mixers with built-in drum. They are recommended for professionals, since they allow the production of large quantities of product in a fast and convenient way. They include in their structure a tank or drum which, as a general rule, has a capacity of between 40 and 150 liters. Inside it is possible to find a set of paddles that, when rotating, stir and favor the mixing of the different elements.
- Vertical mortar mixers. These devices do not have a drum. They are usually used to produce small quantities in a conventional bucket. Their structure consists of a base with two handles inside which the motor is located. A mixing rod is attached to it, which, when rotating, promotes mixing.

The importance of a homogeneous mixture

Over time, the carbon brushes wear out due to friction. This causes the pad size to shorten and the spring to lengthen, so that the contact is no longer adequate.
The service life of these carbon brushes depends on the intensity of use of the mixer. If it is very high, it is necessary to replace them every 6 months. On the other hand, if it is less constant, it can survive for more than a year.
Use of rods with mortar mixer
Earlier we told you that there are two types of mortar mixers. In this sense, the rods are designed to produce this building material in a timely manner and in small quantities. This is the reason why these tools do not have a drum or bucket.
Transport of a mortar mixer
Transportation is not a problematic issue with stick mortar mixers. In fact, they are easily disassembled and are usually sold with a case or briefcase in which to store them and carry them comfortably from one place to another.
However, drum mortar mixers are very different. They usually have two wheels, which allows them to slide more easily over the floor in case they need to be moved.
