Lattices

Outdoor latticework is a versatile architectural feature that allows you to create structural enclosures, define spaces and add a refined aesthetic to courtyards or terraces. Its perforated design allows the sea breeze and natural light to flow freely through, whilst preserving the privacy of the home.

Advantages of prefabricated trellises in garden design

Opting for ceramic and concrete elements ensures excellent durability in the face of changing weather conditions. Unlike wooden latticework, these rigid structures do not require regular varnishing, retaining their mechanical strength intact despite constant exposure to damp and solar radiation.

Furthermore, their variety of geometric patterns and tonal finishes facilitates harmonious integration with any façade style. By acting as sunshades, they help regulate the temperature of shaded interior areas, creating pleasant microclimates on exposed terraces during the summer months.

Main applications of latticework in exterior architecture

The use of these openwork blocks ranges from crowning perimeter walls to creating independent space dividers. When installed on balustrades or partition walls, they provide an elegant visual barrier that reduces visibility from the street without creating a feeling of confinement.

Furthermore, the installation of decorative openwork screens on porches or verandas creates striking patterns of light and shadow on the paving. This aesthetic quality transforms exterior surfaces, adding a contemporary and balanced touch that enhances the overall architectural appeal of the home.

Technical characteristics of the lattice modules

• High-density prefabricated structures for maximum structural stability.
• Openwork designs that allow for optimal cross-ventilation in the courtyard.
• Surfaces resistant to erosion, frost and direct thermal shock.
• Modular formats compatible with all types of mortar and fixed supports.

Installation and maintenance recommendations for latticework

To ensure a long-lasting installation, it is essential to have a completely level and clean base on the supporting wall. Using mortars specifically designed for outdoor use and adhering to the recommended expansion joints prevents the appearance of unwanted cracks caused by seasonal temperature changes.

Aftercare for these architectural garden features is extremely simple and quick to carry out. It is sufficient to clean them occasionally with a pressure washer to remove accumulated dust or environmental debris, ensuring a spotless and neat appearance for many years of use.
