Section-by-section retractable systems

If you’re looking for a practical solution for accessing attics, lofts or rooftops without sacrificing living space, our range of retractable staircases offers the perfect alternative. This retractable system stands out for its ability to blend discreetly into the ceiling, remaining completely hidden when not in use.

Technical structure and materials of retractable staircases

Developed by specialist firms such as Maydisa, these structures combine treated timber frames with articulated sections made from highly robust pine or galvanised metal. The closing hatch features integrated thermal insulation that minimises energy loss between rooms, ensuring excellent energy efficiency in the home.

The collection offers three- and four-section models that fold smoothly and precisely onto the top panel itself. Each step incorporates non-slip grooves to ensure a stable ascent, whilst the optional metal handrails provide a comfortable grip during daily use in homes or commercial premises.

Key advantages of the section-by-section retractable range

• A section-by-section folding system with articulated sections that are easy to open and close.
• Airtight hatch fitted with integrated ISO thermal insulation.
• Structures made from natural pine and metals with high structural strength.
• A variety of box dimensions to suit any floor structure.
• Safe access via steps with non-slip treads.

Installation and functionality in spaces with a loft

Their compact design requires very little space to extend, allowing you to make the most of the space above for storage, a study area or convenient access to rooftops.

Make the most of the square metres in your home by relying on retractable structures with reliable engineering that combine safety, comfort and a discreet aesthetic. Choose the model that best suits the height of your ceilings and enjoy a functional access solution that is fully integrated into the architecture of your home.
