Pavement treatment

Applying the correct floor treatment is essential for preserving the original beauty, durability and shine of ceramic floors. Specialised maintenance protects the tiles against the penetration of dirt, preventing premature wear caused by continuous daily use.

Protective finishes: gloss or matt finish

Liquid wax-based solutions allow you to choose between satin-effect finishes or completely matt surfaces, to suit the decorative style of each room. These self-polishing products create an invisible protective film that repels footprints, making everyday household cleaning tasks much easier.

On porous materials such as terracotta, clay or natural stone, the application of waterproofing sealants prevents the absorption of oils and moisture. Maintaining ceramic floors with specific treatments nourishes the pores, enhances colour tones and prevents efflorescence.

Application method and preventative maintenance

To achieve a professional finish on the floor covering, it is essential to apply the product to a surface that is completely clean, dry and free of grease. Using microfibre mops or wide brushes ensures an even distribution of the protective emulsion without leaving unwanted build-up or marks on the floor.

Subjecting the tiles to regular treatment not only improves the appearance of the space but also significantly increases their durability against constant foot traffic. This protective ceramic coating reduces the adhesion of stubborn stains, keeping surfaces spotless for much longer.

Aftercare to preserve the treatment

Maintaining protected floors requires the use of mild, neutral cleaners that do not degrade the protective wax film previously applied. Avoiding the use of aggressive acidic or alcohol-based detergents helps to prolong the effects of the treatment, preserving a uniform and hard-wearing finish throughout the home.
