Manual mechanical brick mesh tiles of 23x1.5x3.7 cm

They come in 1 m2 fiberglass meshes, and contain 8 meshes of 60x25cm per box.

Mesh brick tiles have tres different finishes:

  • Bricks with RUSTIC finish: The edges and surface are perfect
  • MANUAL Finished Bricks: Edges and surface have imperfections
  • Bricks with MANUAL SANDBLASTING finish: The edges and surface are totally imperfect.

The real mechanical manual brick with all the advantages of meshing. As it is meshed, installation is much simpler and faster, respecting the joints.

This type of brick can be laid with tile adhesive cement or normal cement with sand, as it is a very porous construction material and its grip is very good.

For grouting it is recommended to use a glue gun or with a pastry bag, and later, use the scraper to remove excesses.

Where can it be placed?

The bricks can be laid both indoors and outdoors. It is a highly used product and adapts perfectly to any environment.

To indicate some rooms where it is most commonly used, we can indicate these:

  • Rustic dining rooms
  • Chimneys and surroundings to it.
  • Hallways
  • Small wineries
  • Interior living room wall, to mix with other totally smooth ones (industrial interior design)

How are imitation brick tiles placed?

  • Step 1: Prepare the wall for the correct placement of the platelets. The surface where the platelets are to be placed must be maestered and clean, so as not to have problems with adhesion with the mortar.
  • Step 2: It is recommended that the placement of the imitation brick tiles be placed in small cloths of no more than 2 m2. Therefore, first spread the mortar on the substrate, respecting this methodology for its placement.
  • Step 3: Once the mortar has been spread, place the imitation brick tiles and press them to ensure their placement, respecting the spaces of the joints that the tiles already have fixed in the fiberglass mesh.
  • Step 4: For grouting it is recommended that it is not done until the platelets are fully fixed and the mortar is dry. It is recommended to use a glue gun to grout the spaces between the bricks.
  • Step 5: Depending on the material used for grouting it will take a reasonable amount of time to remove the rest of the grouting with scrapers and struggling. Normally, about 30 minutes will be enough.
  • Step 6: Once the whole set is dry, clean it definitively and it will be completely finished.
