Scissor-fold awnings

If you need to access raised areas without compromising the usable space in your rooms, retractable scissor stairs are an unbeatable practical option. These accordion-style folding structures are designed to unfold easily when access to a loft or attic is required, whilst remaining fully retracted within the housing without taking up any usable space.

Durable materials and functional versatility

Developed by leading manufacturers such as Maydisa, these ladders combine high-strength metal frames with treated wooden storage units to ensure optimal thermal and hygienic performance within the floor cavity. The retractable pantograph mechanism allows the structure to be extended and folded away smoothly, evenly and without significant physical effort.

Their range offers solutions tailored to any architectural requirement, including configurations for standard ceilings, vertical walls and direct access to roofs or outdoor terraces. Furthermore, the range of finishes includes lacquered metal surfaces and galvanised finishes, designed to withstand the test of time and continuous use without losing stability.

Advantages of installing accordion-style retractable staircases

• Pantograph folding mechanism for maximum space optimisation.
• Robust construction offering a high safe load-bearing capacity.
• Formats adaptable to ceiling openings, walls and outdoor terraces.
• Insulated models that prevent heat loss.
• Non-slip steps designed for firm and safe footing.

Integration into renovation projects and space utilisation

The installation of a retractable scissor lift is ideal for detached houses, semi-detached houses or commercial premises where vertical space needs to be utilised to the full. Thanks to the sturdiness of its steps and the smooth operation of the opening mechanism, accessing secondary storage areas or terraces becomes a quick and easy process.

Ensure seamless vertical connectivity in your home by opting for retractable engineering systems that combine practicality, safety and understated aesthetics. Choose the box dimensions and height that best suit your needs and enjoy convenient, fully retractable access in your day-to-day life.
