Glass Fibre for Mortar

The fibreglass series for mortar comprises structural reinforcement additives designed to prevent cracking and optimise the mechanical properties of screeds and renders. This technical range provides a three-dimensional network that distributes internal stresses evenly throughout all types of cementitious mixes.

Crack Resistance and Structural Performance in the Fibreglass for Mortar Range

This range stands out for its use of high-tenacity filaments that inhibit plastic shrinkage during the cement setting process. The incorporation of these filaments into the mix increases the overall durability of the structure, preventing micro-cracks caused by rapid water loss or thermal changes in the substrate.

Their alkali-resistant properties ensure that the material retains its performance characteristics within the highly alkaline environment of the mortar. Furthermore, the rapid dispersion of the fibres during mixing results in a uniform and workable mix, improving impact resistance in vertical walls and floors subject to continuous foot traffic.

A range of technical formats developed by Fibratec and Regarsa

Developed with the utmost precision by specialist manufacturers such as Fibratec and Regarsa, this range precisely meets the requirements of every construction application. You will find solutions in bulk packaging to facilitate direct addition to the concrete mixer or on-site mixing machine.

Range of reinforcing fibres available in the collection

• 12 FV-E glass fibre in 600 g bags for general reinforcement in mortars.
• AR V-13 MO glass fibre, specially designed for use in walls and renders, available in 200 g packs.
• AR V-12 AM glass fibre, formulated for concrete screeds and floors, available in 1 kg packs.
• Alkali-resistant (AR) additives designed for a long service life in the mix.

Benefits of incorporating fibreglass into your mortar mixes

Using the additives in this range guarantees you long-lasting, multi-directional reinforcement that prevents cracks from forming in floors and walls. You will achieve a finish with greater structural integrity, optimising application times and ensuring superior strength.
