The pieces in the Apulia Collection have a rectification process, which means that their edges have been cut with millimetric precision. This allows for installation with minimal joints, usually 1 or 2 mm, achieving a more uniform and continuous finish on the surface. By reducing the thickness of the joints, a more elegant and modern visual effect is achieved, as well as easier cleaning, as there are fewer spaces where dirt can accumulate.
This collection features a V4 type tonal variation, which means that each piece can have significant differences in its shades and veins, mimicking the natural appearance of Calacata marble. This variation brings dynamism and depth to spaces, making the final result more authentic and less repetitive. Thanks to this feature, the floors and walls take on a more natural and exclusive look, with a unique aesthetic in each installation.
With a thickness of 9 mm, the Apulia Collection offers a perfect balance between resistance and ease of installation. This thickness provides the necessary robustness to withstand daily use without compromising the manageability of the parts during placement. In addition, as it is porcelain stoneware, its compact structure and low porosity reinforce its resistance to impacts and loads, allowing it to be used both in residential spaces and in areas of moderate traffic.
To ensure an optimal finish and avoid structural problems in the installation, it is recommended not to place the pieces with a 50% offset in their rectangular format. Instead, an offset of 33% or less is preferable, which helps minimize potential height differences between parts and prevents stresses on the material. This type of installation optimises the aesthetics of the floor or covering, ensuring a more level surface without perceptible irregularities.
