The 25 kg Perlite Projection Plaster is a lightened material for covering interior walls and ceilings, offering a quick application and without the need for kneading. Its use with spraying machines ensures homogeneous mixing and greater lightness, hardness and performance than conventional plasters.
A finishing coat can be applied with the Amethyst product, and before painting, a primer should be used to regulate the absorption of the surface. Ideal for obtaining uniform and durable finishes.
Table of Contents
Mechanical projection plaster lightened with perlite for single-layer interiors and indicated for the coating of horizontal and vertical walls. It is worth highlighting the elimination of kneading effort and the enormous speed of application compared to manual plasters, as well as greater lightness and easier screeding, achieving a greater and homogeneous hardness throughout the wall, as well as greater performance when compared to mechanical casts without lightening with perlite.
How to Use Cast
Its installation is carried out with mechanical projection machines specially designed for its application. Due to its automatic kneading, it provides a constant and homogeneous quality of the gypsum paste. With the help of aluminum rulers, the projected surface is leveled to obtain a great flatness. Its finish form can be either troweled or plastered with special finishing plaster. In the latter case, the Amethyst product must be used to ensure compatibility between the base and the final finish. This finishing layer must be applied before the first one has fully set. Prior to painting, it is necessary to apply a layer of primer to regulate the absorption of the wall.
Treatment of sprayed plaster substrates
For the perfect result of the coating, the substrates must be cleaned of dust and adhered particles, roughness, oil stains and residues of release agents. It is recommended that it is always to be applied on highly absorbent supports, moisten them with water. In case this is not enough, it is recommended to apply an absorption regulating primer. In order to reduce the risk of cracking, it is recommended to use glass mesh on surfaces such as polystyrene, polyethylene, etc. It is recommended that on smooth substrates, the surface is treated to create a certain roughness in such a way as to favour mechanical adhesion to the coating. For this same purpose, a primer coat or grip bridge can be used, particularly in areas where release agent has been used.
