Frequently asked questions
Installing faux wood beams made of polyurethane is very straightforward. First, plan the layout of the beams to be installed on the ceiling and, using a laser level, chalk line, or similar, place 3 wooden anchors along the area the beam will occupy on the ceiling. Then, secure the beam with nails from the outside to ensure mechanical anchoring. It is also possible to adhere them with polyurethane-based silicone or combine both methods.
The joint can be made using faux wrought-iron joint rolls, which are glued directly onto the beam with fast-drying adhesive. If this option is not preferred, it is also possible to fill the joint with jointing putty and then paint using the touch-up kit in the same colour as the beam, to simulate a continuous connection between the two units.
All faux wood beams made of polyurethane are the same. They are made from high-density polyurethane, giving the product extreme firmness and very low weight. The only difference is their size, so you can hide elements inside, run cables, install lighting, etc.
Polyurethane faux wood beams are known for their low maintenance. Unlike real wood beams, they do not require sanding, varnishing, or periodic painting. To maintain their appearance and durability, it is recommended to follow some basic care guidelines, such as regularly cleaning the beams with a soft cloth or a mild soap and water solution, but even if this is not done, they are durable enough to cause no issues.
