Porcelain pool tiling

Tackling the project of the pool shell and coping requires the installation of a hard-wearing ceramic pool cladding that guarantees watertightness, durability and maximum water safety. Choosing the right porcelain or glazed materials ensures an impeccable aesthetic finish, whilst protecting the surfaces against aggressive chemicals.

Technical advantages of ceramic pool tiles

Ceramic tiles designed for swimming pool basins stand out for their zero water absorption and exceptional resistance to frost and drastic temperature changes. Their vitreous surface prevents the growth of bacteria and algae, making cleaning easier and keeping the water in optimal condition.

Advances in ceramic design mean you can enjoy finishes that faithfully replicate the texture of natural stone, the elegance of slate or a modern cement-look effect. These alternatives offer a more personalised and seamless aesthetic compared to traditional gresite mosaic tiles.

Installation, slip resistance and perimeter edging

For beach areas, perimeter edges and internal access staircases, it is essential to select finishes with high-quality anti-slip properties. These coverings prevent accidental slips or falls on wet surfaces, whilst feeling soft under bare feet.

Ensuring a durable bond under continuous immersion requires the use of high-adhesion elastic adhesive mortars and waterproof epoxy grouts. Properly preparing the substrate using a well-cured screed prevents unwanted water ingress, ensuring the ceramic tiles remain firmly in place over time.

Maintenance and care of the cladding

Keeping the pool walls and interior spotless is extremely simple thanks to the non-porous nature of glazed porcelain tiles. Using neutral cleaners specifically designed for swimming pools removes accumulated dirt without damaging the original colour or eroding the grout during the swimming season.

• Frost resistance and tolerance to drastic temperature changes in the pool basin.
• Low water absorption, which prevents structural leaks and the growth of mould.
• A variety of aesthetic finishes imitating natural stone, slate and polished concrete.
• Anti-slip treatments for perimeter edges, the poolside area and access steps.
