VELUX roof windows

If you’re looking to transform the liveability of your attic spaces by making the most of natural light from above, VELUX windows for pitched roofs are the ideal solution. This collection combines energy efficiency, versatile opening options and a timeless design that enhances indoor wellbeing in any loft or attic room.

Opening systems and interior finishes in the VELUX pitched roof range

The collection offers two main opening options to meet the specific needs of your space. On the one hand, top-hung windows feature a top handle, ideal if there is furniture underneath; on the other, top-hung models open up to 45 degrees on top hinges, providing unobstructed views and a greater sense of space.

As for interior finishes, you can choose between the traditional warmth of the white-painted wood finish or the seamless white polyurethane finish. The latter is ideal for rooms exposed to constant damp, such as bathrooms and kitchens, as it offers a washable surface that does not require regular repainting.

Safety glazing technology and weather-sealed frames

All units in the range feature standard laminated safety glazing that combines UV protection, hail-resistant toughened outer glass and reduced rain impact noise. This technical construction minimises heat loss in winter and prevents overheating during the summer months.

To ensure a watertight integration into the roof, the collection includes specific weather sealing frames such as the EDW model for corrugated tiled roofs and the EDL frame for flat roofs such as slate. Its adjustable aluminium profiles channel water smoothly, ensuring a perimeter seal that is completely weatherproof.

Key benefits of the VELUX pitched roof window range

• Top-hung operation with a flap for continuous ventilation whilst the window is closed.
• Laminated safety glazing with superior thermal and acoustic insulation.
• Pivot and top-hung models suitable for roof pitches between 15 and 90 degrees.
• Integrated mounting brackets ensuring quick installation of blinds.
• Weatherstripping frames compatible with all types of roof tiles or roofing materials.

Ventilation comfort and adaptability in attic rooms

The models in this range feature a locking pin to rotate the sash through 180 degrees, facilitating convenient and safe cleaning of the outer pane from the inside. The top flap also incorporates a washable filter that prevents insects and dust from entering, allowing you to refresh the indoor air without having to open the window.

For windows installed at great heights or in places that are difficult to reach manually, this collection can be supplemented or automated with the motorised range, powered by electricity or solar energy. Choose the combination of size and finish that best suits your project and enjoy exceptional natural light with a full guarantee of durability.
