It is an asphalt emulsion for cold application, viscous consistency and soluble in water that is used as a coating of walls, foundations, etc. or as a bituminous emulsion for the protection of surfaces, concretes, etc. Available formats: 5 kg and 25 kg drum Applications
- Emulsion for preparation of asphalt waterproofing support for terraces, non-potable water tanks, walls, tanks and pipes.
- Protection of foundations, walls and concrete structures.
- Mounting adhesive for insulation.
Advantages and benefits
- Non-toxic, water-soluble and long-lasting.
- A dry 1.5 mm film is not re-emulsified by water and no blisters are produced when immersed in it.
- It does not flow or drain at any temperature, no matter how high, or when placed in an oven at 100ºC for 24 hours, it does not show signs of runoff.
- It also does not dry out or crack in the cold. A 1.5 mm EMUFAL SOLID film dried at room temperature for 8 days is flexible at -10ºC, and does not cause cracks or separation of the substrate.
- Easily applicable.
- It does not contain solvents. Ideal for application on enclosed surfaces.
- Adhesion even on slightly damp surfaces.
Installation
Support
- The surface where it is to be applied must be free of dust, loose or poorly adhered materials, greasy or non-stick residues and any dirt in general.
- It can be applied on dry or slightly damp surfaces. In very hot weather or in the presence of some release agents, it is advisable to moisten them beforehand.
- In the event that there are holes or cracks, it is advisable to regularize the surface beforehand to ensure good performance.
Application
- The product is applied cold and must be shaken before use.
- As a primer it is applied with a brush or roller (diluted in water 1:2) and in one or two coats.
- For protection, a first layer diluted with two (2) or tres (3) parts water is applied and then two or more undiluted layers.
- Allow the product to dry before it comes into contact with other materials.
- Tools should be washed with water before EMUFAL SOLID dries. If it has dried, they should be cleaned with solvent. In case there are cracks or fissures in the wall, a waterproofing sheet must be placed.
- When the walls are retaining walls with earth fills, it is necessary to protect the EMUFAL SOLID layer with EFYOS XPS about 5 cm thick or with any type of DRENTEX drainage.
