High purity dry silica sand, suitable for cleaning, blasting and blasting all types of surfaces. The grain size of the sand is 0.6 to 1 mm
The uses of the 0.6 to 1 mm particle litter are:
- Cleaning of painted sheets
- Very fine filters
- Artificial grass
The task of sandblasting consists of projecting sand by means of an air current driven by a compressor on metal parts and structures to clean the surface or leave it ready for subsequent treatments.
Blasting is done outdoors, in blasting rooms or in booths. In the case of a ship or a large structure, it is executed with mobile blasting units.
During the performance of this task, the grains of sand impact the metal parts under treatment with great energy. The sand fragments into very fine particles, releasing crystalline silica dust into the environment. The sand used in blasting typically contains 94 to 99% crystalline silica in the form of quartz.
