Not all ceramic materials are created equal. For that reason, not all scoring wheels are RUBI the same.
RUBI manufactures its scoring wheels and rollers in tungsten carbide, whose main characteristic is its high resistance to frictional wear. Most of the ceramic materials that have historically been used for surface coating have used smooth glazes and finishes with minimal roughness. With the appearance of non-slip materials or rustic stoneware (especially suitable for outdoors), the roughness of ceramics increased. To minimise the impact of this roughness, the GOLD range is designed on its scoring wheels, RUBI, which is designed by the GOLD range.
Each roller guide is rectified in a unitary way so that each diameter has an incision angle according to its function and use. Each roller guide diameter offers different results and performances, depending on the type of ceramic material for which they have been designed.
The recommended use of RUBI 's GOLD scoring wheels is in the striping of glazed stoneware (BIIa / BIb), rustic or extruded stoneware (AIIa / AIb) and porcelain stoneware (BIa) with smooth and/or slightly rough finishes.
The GOLD scoring wheel range increases the natural wear resistance of tungsten carbide by means of a titanium coating. Thanks to this treatment, RUBI 's GOLD scoring wheels offer a longer life than SILVER scoring wheels and rollers. This increase in life, under the same conditions of use as a SILVER scoring wheel, this increase can be up to 50% more than the life of a SILVER scoring wheel.
The RUBI GOLD scoring wheels use a handle with a triple grooved geometry (design and RUBI patent), which guarantees, at all times, a correct assembly on the manual cutter, as well as a firm and firm and vibration-free fixation and scratching.
