Universal profiles for swimming pool edges

Universal pool edge profiles provide an essential technical solution for precisely finishing the joints between the tiles and the pool basin. This carefully selected range of edge coverings ensures a flawless aesthetic transition, protecting the ceramic edges from repeated impacts and extending the overall durability of the installation.

Models, finishes and colour palette for universal profiles

This specialised range includes advanced solutions such as the Astra Nori and Astra Kombu series, developed by the manufacturer Emac in a 12x2500 mm format. The collection offers a varied, contemporary colour palette comprising the shades Almond, Cinnamon, Concrete, Ash and Black, making it easy to find the perfect match for any perimeter flooring.

Below, we detail the main options for technical profiles designed to optimise the transition between the pool and the sun deck:

• Astra Nori universal profiles: top-edge strips that cover the exposed ceramic edge, smoothing the transition at the outer edge.
• Astra Kombu integrated profiles: 12x2500 mm recessed solutions designed to sit flush between the coping tile and the wall.
• Range of mineral and neutral tones: Cemento, Ceniza and Negro finishes, ideal for creating modern, urban-inspired designs.
• Range of warm and organic shades: ‘Almendra’ and ‘Canela’ options designed to blend seamlessly with wood- or stone-effect flooring.

Technical properties and structural strength of the profiles

Manufactured from high-strength polymeric and composite materials, these perimeter edging profiles stand out for their excellent weather resistance to chlorinated water and UV radiation. Their design, free from sharp edges, actively protects users from accidental scratches, improving overall safety when entering or leaving the water.

Key functional advantages that make these pool profiles a high-performance technical choice

• Effective protection of ceramic edges: a physical barrier that absorbs mechanical impacts, preventing chipping on exposed edges.
• High resistance to chemicals: an inert structure designed to withstand treatment with chlorine, salt chlorinators and pool cleaners.
• Physical safety with no sharp edges: a gently rounded shape that prevents skin abrasions and cuts during everyday use.
• Simple installation and precise fit: 2.5-metre length format that makes it easy to cut to size and simplifies fitting.

Seamless transitions and maximum protection for your pool area

Opting for universal pool edge profiles is the perfect choice if you’re looking to achieve a professional, safe and visually seamless finish. You’ll achieve a neat and durable perimeter finish that will keep your terrace looking impeccable year after year.
