VELUX blinds for roof windows

Fitting curtains to roof windows is the ideal way to precisely regulate the amount of sunlight entering a room and transform the atmosphere of any attic. This decorative and functional solution ensures efficient thermal control, protecting your rooms from summer heat and the cold.

Types and benefits of roof window blinds

The wide range of models available extends from blackout blinds to pleated or roller blinds designed to gently filter natural light. Each technical fabric meets the specific needs of the space, allowing you to adjust the desired level of shade according to the time of day.

One of the major advantages of these accessories is their ability to improve thermal insulation in loft spaces, creating an effective barrier against harsh outdoor weather conditions. This helps you maintain a consistent indoor temperature all year round and significantly reduces energy consumption.

They are manufactured from highly durable synthetic fabrics, ensuring that colours remain intact despite prolonged exposure to sunlight. Furthermore, the dust-repellent treatments applied to the fabric ensure minimal maintenance, requiring only the occasional wipe with a slightly damp cloth to keep them looking as good as new.

Operating systems and aesthetic finishes

When it comes to operating systems, you can choose between manual versions or automated mechanisms, such as electric or solar-powered options. These remote-control alternatives are essential for conveniently operating curtains fitted to high-up or hard-to-reach roof windows.

The design of the aluminium profiles ensures a tight seal along the side rails, preventing annoying light leaks. The wide range of colours available allows you to match the finishes to the room’s décor, creating a modern, clean and extremely elegant look.

Simple installation and selection guidelines

The installation process is extremely quick and easy thanks to the pre-fixed mounting systems integrated into the window frames. With a few simple quick-fit steps, the structure is perfectly secured without the need for complicated drilling or the use of professional building tools.

To select the ideal model for your home, you should take the exact measurements using the metal plate located on the upper frame of the roof window. By following the installation recommendations, you will achieve a perfect fit that will provide lasting light and thermal comfort in your home.
